My name is Jonathan Smith and I have been a professional footballer for the past 16 years. I have amassed over 500 professional games during my career winning promotion three times and playing in the Johnstones paint trophy final at Wembley Stadium. My current club is Chesterfield FC and I have also played for other clubs including Forest Green Rovers, Swindon Town, and Luton Town FC.
Despite playing all these games for all these clubs there has been one constant throughout my career and that is that I’ve always been searching for the ‘edge’. Whether that be the edge over my opponents or the edge over my teammates I have always pushed myself to do everything I possibly could to make myself better as a footballer both on and off the pitch.
I have created this blog ‘NotJustTalent’ to benefit anyone coming into the game or any players looking to improve. I will share my experiences along with my friends in the game to give a unique insight into the world of professional football.
